    Introduction  of Prometheus

    Prometheus is an open-source system monitoring and alerting toolkit designed for reliability and scalability. Known for its time-series database, Prometheus is widely adopted for monitoring applications, systems, and cloud environments. Its pull-based model, along with flexible querying and alerting capabilities, makes it ideal for dynamic infrastructure monitoring. This training is designed to help participants understand the fundamentals of Prometheus, from installation to setting up metrics collection, alerting, and integrations with Grafana for visualization.

    By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge to deploy and configure Prometheus for real-time system monitoring and set up automated alerts for potential issues.

    Prerequisites 

    1. Basic understanding of systems and application monitoring: Familiarity with metrics and monitoring concepts.
    2. Experience with Linux command line and networking: Necessary for setting up and managing Prometheus.
    3. Understanding of time-series databases and monitoring tools: Previous experience with tools like Zabbix, Nagios, or similar will be helpful but not mandatory.
    4. Access to a Prometheus environment: Preferably have a Prometheus instance installed or use a cloud-based solution.
